A gobo is an object that fits into a projector and contains the image to be projected. OPTI Kinetics Standard range of Effect Cassettes and Effect Wheels are Effect Gobos. OPTI Kinetics also manufacture custom glass gobos using a wide range of processes. Effects gobos come in a wide range of sizes and formats. The standard OPTI Kinetics range includes: dynamic Effect Cassettes in both 3 inch and 50mm formats and a diverse selection of picture, liquid, organic, beam, distortion and dynamic multi-pack 6 inch Effect Wheels.

Gobos fit onto effects accessories, which in turn are mounted into the gate of projectors to create projected effects. Effects gobos can be used on their own or combined with other effects or accessories to enhance or alter the projected image. Examples of this include constant motion underwater or sky through a window created by combining standard and custom gobos and wheels. As well as the more established entertainments sector, the use of gobos is also extremely popular for creating custom effects that project your message in retail and exhibition applications.

Most OPTI 6 inch Effect Wheels are available in two types. Plastic for the lower powered OPTI Solar 100C, OPTI Solar 250 and OPTI GoBoShow projectors. Glass ‘575 Safe’ for the higher powered OPTI Effect Projectors.
OPTI Liquid Effect Wheels are only produced in glass. The OPTI Dynagraph and Rotagraph Multi-Packs are only produced in Plastic.
All OPTI 6 inch Effect Wheels are used with an OPTI 6 inch Wheel Rotator or Wheel Safe.
