OPTI Kinetics Projectors Effect Accessories Introduction
Effect Accessories Introduction | Print |  E-mail
Effect projection accessories fall into two main categories: gobo holding and front of lens. Gobo holding accessories fit in the ‘gate’ of the projector between the lamp optics and the lens. They can simply hold a static gobo (or rotate it), hold a rotating cassette or 6 inch wheel or, hold multiples of gobos or cassettes changing them at programmable intervals. The exception to this is the ‘real time’ projection Clock which is both an accessory and an effect combined.

The Clock features a face with moving hour, minute and second hands. Each one of which is a customisable gobo.
Front of lens accessories fit, as the name suggests, in front of the lens and alter the state or move the projected image. These include prisms and mirrors.
Then there are the lenses themselves. OPTI only use the highest quality multi-element lenses to maximize the brightness and clarity of the projected image. Each OPTI Projector is supplied with an 85mm lens as standard. For larger or smaller projected effect ‘image’ it may be necessary to use a lens with a different focal length. In simple terms: the smaller the number of the lens the larger the image (see the lens page for your projector for details).
The OPTI GoBoShow and GoBoPro also have a factory fitted DMX option, which allows the projector and some of its accessories to be controlled from a DMX lighting desk, as part of an overall lighting scheme or how.
The OPTI K4 has factory fitted Shutter Dimmer and Hour Meter Options which allow you to blank off effect changes or effectively dim the light output and monitors the lamp life. There is also an external Analogue DMX option that allows you to operate the Shutter Dimmer via a DMX lighting desk.
Click on the icon of your Effects Projector and select the apprpriate Effects Accessory from the drop down menu.
